A little bit of darkness.

Our shadows trail us against the light. It doesn’t consume us but hides until exposed by the light. It is always there never completely leaving.

The same could be said about our darkness hidden within us. It is covered up by smiles and spiffy clothing. It is masked by images we portray with material things and other modern conveniences.

The key to life is not to cover it up but dance in the sunlight and let that darkness out.

I have in so many forms. Whether it is in a men’s group openly discussing my struggles with sexual addiction, or in front of my church congregation declaring war against fear. More recently, that black, sticky presence was exposed in the Story of Ken.

Illuminate your shadow and know it won’t ever leave until God almighty pierces every bit of darkness when he returns. He will be a sun bright enough to kill darkness but loving enough to sanitize and cleanse your soul.
